ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION (AAMI)

The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1967. It is a diverse community of nearly 7,000 healthcare technology professionals united by one important mission—supporting the healthcare community in the development, management, and use of safe and effective medical technology. As an early adopter of Dynamic Benchmarking technology, AAMI has deployed several platforms to its members, the first of which, the Sterile Processing Benchmark (SPB) Survey, launched in 2010.  SPB has been a successful platform designed to help sterile processing departments easily measure their budgets, personnel, practices, and policies against similar departments at other facilities. Revamped in 2017, the SPB Survey was refined from its original 130+ questions down to a mere 70. Key metrics were also identified that would be measured monthly rather than annually, to help members track important data more frequently and make more informed decisions.

Chief Operating Officer

"I’ve worked with a lot of vendors over the years. The Dynamic Benchmarking team is one of the best. Some vendors say they are your partners. The Dynamic Benchmarking team backs up those words with action. They are always willing to help, share best practices, and offer suggestions for improvement. They are an extension of our staff team. They are flexible, always accommodating, and just a pleasure with which to work."
